Anxiety and Depression Discussion for Musicians

As a musician, artist or creative, we deal with our share of stress, anxiety and depression.The pressure of a creative, entrepreneurial career can sometimes get the best of us. There’s the stress of life balance, external pressure from family and alleged friends, unreasonable goals, lack of accountability or a support system, the search for perfection. Not to mention drugs, alcohol and other addictive habits.
Musicians and creatives are THREE TIMES more prone to suffer from stress, anxiety and depression than non-musicians. In this FREE event, we will present four lifestyle and wellness experts who will discuss techniques to help musicians and creatives individuals with these issues.
Our quartet of experts, each with a different way to combat the issue, to give you the knowledge, support and resources you need. During this panel discussion, each speaker will present their approach to the stress and depression we all feel at times. After the presentation, you’ll be able to ask specific questions about your situation.
Musicians, creatives, artists, students and friends that you know that have these issues are urged to attend. You are also encouraged to bring your flyers, business cards and media and network with other musicians and creatives in attendance.
The importance of recognizing you have an issue is essential to having a fulfilling life and career. We feel it’s vital that you find the right solutions and support.

As someone who has been thru the paralyzing effects of depression caused by overwork, bad habits and emotional stress, Ricardo can speak to what to look for, who to seek help from and how to change your mindset and environment. It is a very personal issue for him. After seeing so many musicians and entertainers take their lives or have their careers stolen because of anxiety and depression, Ricardo is determined to give musicians the resources they need to control these symptoms.
